Multi-channel, multi-tasking ultrasonic instruments, with advanced networking and reporting capabilities for nondestructive inspection and evaluation
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Introducing the 2000 Series
The upi-50 2000 Series extends the capabilities of the industry-standard, fully-digital upi-50 ultrasonic instrument into the realm of high-speed, a multi-tasking applications with full compatibility to networking, data archiving and reporting codes. Encompassing new RPP2 or RPP4 programmable square-wave pulser preamplifiers with up to eight independent channels on board, the upi-50 2000 Series provides the industrial user and development lab with the next-generation platform for ultrasonic applications.
Hardware
Industry-certified UPR-50 digital ultrasonic electronics, one to eight channels, with a 50MHz bandwidth and 100MSamp/sec sampling rate. Choice of Pentium1 or Pentium II1 CPU, with Windows NT2 operating system. Selection of on-board mass-storage devices.
Enclosures
Rack-mount or transportable tabletop enclosure, with full-feature I/O connector panel.
High-resolution screen displays
800 x 600 pixel, extra-bright TFT screen display on tabletop instrument; high-resolution 17” display is standard with rack-mount version.
Front-end square wave pulser
Choice of plug-in RPP2 or RPP4 programmable square-wave pulsers, each with linear preamplifier, offering outstanding near-surface resolution, penetrating power, and equivalent input noise less than 4nvolt/Ö Hz.
Linear or log amplification
Optional plug-in LAM4 programmable logarithmic amplifier with dynamic range exceeding 85dB offers menu-selectable linear or logarithmic signal conditioning with exceptional low-noise operation.
ScanMaster 2000 software
ScanMaster 2000 software for instrument set-up and display, application control, flaw evaluation, measurement and documentation, with the full multi-tasking capability of Windows NT. All instrument functions directly accessible from the ScanMaster 2000 Toolbox with easy-to-learn, easy-to-use application tailored operator interfaces.
Applications
Flaw detection and evaluation in metals and composites, wall and clad thickness measurements, B and C-scan imaging and evaluation.
Report Generator
Documented inspection reports application-tailored to customer specifications.
Visual ScanMaster Builder
Custom-tailored ‘virtual’ control panels for specific inspection applications. Knobs look and work just like analog instrument controls.

 1998 Scan Master 2000 APPLICATIONS
  • Servo control interface for AC and DC servo motors
  • C-scan imaging with encoder synchronization
  • Macro language capabilities - custom tailored building blocks for automated inspection
  • Longitudinal and spiral weld B and C-scan imaging
